What does the production process of your milk look like?

The cows do most of the job for us. After milking, the farmer stores the milk in a storage container. Once every three days, the milk is then collected and taken to our factory. For our semi skimmed milk, we take out some of the cream so that the milk contains just 1.5% fat (as this is the legal percentage for semi skimmed milk). Our full fat milk stays just as it is. We then spin the milk, a little like in a salad spinner, to help enhance the creamy texture. Then we gently pasteurise it to make sure the milk is safe for you to drink and finally, we pour it into cartons and drive it off to your local store.
